Donee Trotter (Chicago)
Senator Trotter has served the 17th District since 1993. He has focused his efforts on health care and public health issues. He has worked tirelessly to provide low income families with health care and fight against the spread of communicable diseases. He has also worked to improve the lives of the elderly by advocating for an Elder Care Savings Bond program that makes long-term health care more affordable and by working on legislation that protects those who rely on assisted living arrangements from bad business practices.
Trotter graduated with his bachelor's degree from Chicago State University in history and political Science, and a master's degree from Loyola School of Law. He currently resides in Chicago with his wife Rose, with whom he has four children.
