Emil Jones III (Chicago)

Senator Jones has represented the 14th District since 2009. During his time in office, his focus has been on increasing the funding for education in his district and on providing much needed property tax breaks to needy families. Jones has also worked on many bills that increase safety, including legislation that increases the scope of laws against cyberstalking and that works to fight gang violence and lower gang recruitment rates.

Born and raised on the far south side of Chicago, Senator Jones is the son of former Senate President Emil Jones II. He attended Chicago State University and then Robert Morris University. Jones currently lives in Chicago.
