John Mulroe (Chicago)
Senator John Mulroe has represented the 10th District since 2011 when he was appointed to replace retiring Senator James DeLeo. Mulroe has worked to establish legislation to allow adults with disabilities more freedom in making their own decisions and he helped to remove the requirement for senior citizens to reapply every year for the Homestead Exemption plan. He has also worked on several tax amendments passed by the Senate.
Mulroe graduated with his law degree from Loyola University and has a full-time law practice in addition to his work as a full-time senator. He currently resides in Edison Park with his wife Margaret and their four children.
