Michael Noland (Elgin)

Senator Noland has represented the 22nd District since 2007 and he has focused on economic development and improving public safety throughout the state. Prior to becoming a senator, Noland had served in the Navy and has drawn on his experience in the armed forces by advocating in favor of many veterans' programs. After leaving the Navy, he put himself through law school and established his own law practice a few years after his graduation. Using his experience as a lawyer, Noland has applied himself to support programs aimed at reducing economic hardships of families in the state and eliminating hunger issues.

Noland graduated with his master's degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago and later received his J.D. from John Marshall Law School. He currently resides in Elgin, with his wife Veronica. They have two children.
